(BA(Hons), MSc, DVATI)
Final Project Advisor, Instructor
Crystal’s first passion was research when she began working in a neuropsychology lab during her undergraduate degree at the University of Saskatchewan. After graduation, she started as a lab technician at the Canadian Center for Behavioural Neuroscience at the University of Lethbridge where she later attained her Master of Science in the same department. The results of her experiments have been published in Experimental Brain Research, Laterality and the Journal of Vision among others.
Crystal had been painting from a young age and always regarded artwork as an important component for mental health. Her desire to transfer from the research side of psychology to working directly with sensitive populations led her to attend VATI in 2010. Crystal is a recent graduate and has begun her art therapy career at an elementary school.
