Peggy Clarkson is a registered clinical counselor and registered art therapist in private practice and employed by Vancouver Coastal Health. She has worked extensively in Aboriginal health for many years, living and working on-reserve in both Haida G’waii and Waglisla (Bella Bella), BC. She has presented internationally at conferences in Budapest, Hungary and Honolulu, Hawaii.
Peggy studied at Concordia University to complete her Master’s degree in art therapy, and has an undergraduate degree in Psychology from U.B.C. Peggy has also studied art and art history for many years including courses at Emily Carr College of Art and Design, Langara College and U.B.C. Her work is influenced by eco-psychology, and strength-based approaches to wellness and healing. Peggy strives to reflect cultural-relational competency in leadership, project development and clinical supervisory capacities.
