I have worked with children and families for the past eleven years in the contexts of nursing and art therapy. My nursing career started out in pediatric oncology where I cared for children and families fighting childhood cancer. I transitioned into intensive care where I look after infants, children and their families struggling with a wide range of critical health issues.
I discovered art therapy at a time when I was seeking a way to both utilize and nurture my creativity and love of art. Since graduating from VATI in 2006, I have worked primarily in the elementary school system providing individual art therapy to children.
