Elana Sures (M.Ed, DVATI, RCC)
Instructor
 Since graduating from the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute in 2000, Elana Sures has incorporated art therapy extensively into her counselling
career. Elana has worked with both adults and adolescents in group and
individual therapy. She has primarily worked at outpatient counselling
clinics specializing in substance abuse, and finds that using art has
helped her clients access core emotions and underlying issues that are
major contributing factors in addiction. In 2005 she obtained a Masters
degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia.
Currently she works as a therapist at West Coast Alternatives Society in
North Vancouver, and maintains a small private practice on the side.
Elana looks forward to passing on her passion for using the creative
process in therapy to her students at VATI.
