Laura Worrall (DVATI, MC:AT, RCC, RCAT)
Instructor / Distance Program Coordinator
 I graduated from the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute in 1995. Since then I have specialized in using art therapy with children who have experienced trauma and loss. I am particularly interested in how art therapy and creativity can foster resiliency in people who have faced adversity or trauma. I believe that art therapy is an exceptional method to help individuals explore feelings, any current difficulties, as well as focus on strengths and potentials. As well as my art therapy training, I have a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology from the Campus Alberta Applied Psychology Program.
Since 1995, Laura has maintained a private art therapy practice, presently located in New Westminster, BC. Along with her private practice, she has also worked as an art therapist in a social service agency. In addition to her career as an art therapist, she is a proud parent to two beautiful children.
