Scholarships
VATI scholarships for art therapy and expressive arts therapy support students enrolled in our programs who are passionate about the arts and creativity as too for healing and personal growth. We offer the following three scholarships on a yearly basis:
Art Therapy Scholarships
Anne-Marie Parent ~ Memorial Scholarship
The award amount is $1,500, open to first-year VATI Diploma students, with an annual deadline of October 15. Named for an alumna who used art therapy during her terminal cancer journey, this scholarship highlights art therapy’s power to support personal healing as well as professional growth. By targeting first-year students, it nurtures a new generation of empathetic, creative practitioners who appreciate how art can transform lives.
Community Leadership – Advanced Diploma Award
This award offers $1,500 to Advanced Diploma Distance students who have completed their first-year residency, with an annual deadline of October 15. It recognizes those who promote social justice and community leadership, showcasing art therapy’s capacity to address structural inequalities and cultural nuances. Recipients leverage their therapeutic skills to advance wellness and equity across diverse settings.
Expressive Arts Therapy Scholarship
Expressive Arts VATI Board of Directors Award
This award offers $1,500 to an Expressive Arts Student with an annual deadline of October 15.
This scholarship is based upon multiple factors that may include financial need and/or potential contributions to the Expressive Arts field.
