In the field of art therapy, Nicole is currently excited to research and learn more about: arts-based and participatory research methods; the potentials of graphic novels in art therapy research and clinical practice; the history and theories of open art therapy studio models; embodied ethics; ethics and art therapy in the age of AI; art activism; decolonizing art therapy ; and how art therapy and eco-art can help us in navigating the global climate crisis. Nicole believes deeply in the power of the arts and art therapy to support people in connecting more deeply and authentically with themselves and with the world around them.
