Diploma Program Graduate Certification

Graduates of the Expressive Arts Therapy program receive a diploma in Expressive Arts Therapy and the professional designation of Certified Expressive Arts Therapist.

Professional Associations

Our graduates are qualified for membership in the following professional associations:

Ontario Expressive Arts Therapy Association (OEATA)
Graduates are eligible to become members of OEATA which supports Expressive Arts Therapists across Canada.

International Expressive Arts Therapy Association (IEATA)
Graduates are encouraged and eligible for membership in the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association. Please refer to ieata.org for further information regarding REAT (Registered Expressive Arts Therapy) designation requirements.

Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada (ACCT)
Graduates are eligible to apply for membership as a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (Candidate), with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada, in British Columbia.

The Expressive Arts Therapy training offers the opportunity to acquire an additional 50 supervised practicum hours while training as an expressive arts therapist. These optional additional 50 hours meet the requirements for full candidacy as a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor. This designation requires 200 Direct Client Contact Hours. Our training program meets other course requirements for this designation.

Collaborative Associations

The Expressive Arts Therapy training program is part of the International Network for Expressive Arts Training Centers that interconnects Expressive Arts institutes in North America, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East.
