Graduate Certification
Graduates of the Vancouver Arts Therapy Institute Expressive Arts Therapy Diploma Program will be granted a Diploma in Expressive Arts Therapy and are entitled to use the designation Certified Expressive Arts Therapist.
Professional Designations
Registered Therapeutic Counsellor
Our Graduates are eligible to apply for membership as a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (Candidate), with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada, in British Columbia. Further information: acctcounsellor.com
The Expressive Arts Therapy training offers the opportunity to acquire an additional 50 supervised practicum hours while training as an expressive arts therapist. These optional additional 50 hours meet the requirements for full candidacy as a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor.
International Expressive Arts Therapy Association Membership
Graduates are encouraged and eligible for membership in the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association. Please refer to ieata.org for further information regarding REAT (Registered Expressive Arts Therapy) designation requirements.
